The purpose of this course is to provide the student with an understanding of the purposes behind criminal justice research, the concepts and logic of research designs, and to explore experimental research designs. This course includes an in-depth presentation of sampling in social science research. The goal is to familiarize the students with research methods in order to lay the groundwork for designing research projects, as well as to interpret research designs in depth.
