- 3 hrs. BIO 434 is the study of the structural and functional organization of cells, and how cellular function relates to body function. Processes such as enzymatic reactions, oxidative metabolism, cellular transport, and bioelectrical mechanisms are discussed. The structure and function of the muscular system, the circulatory system, the respiratory system, the digestive system, the reproductive system, the nervous system, the immune system, and the endocrine system will be covered in this course. (offered spring) Prerequisites: BIO 202 and 202L; CHE 301 and 301L. Co- requisite: BIO 434L
