Follows the specific history and narrative of some dance forms (including African, Ballet, Flamenco, Hip Hop, Jazz, and Modern) and traces their development over time. Gives attention to the effect of social, political, economic, and environmental conditions as well as the influence of other dance forms and the impact of specific dance artists and teacher. Restricted to juniors and seniors. Same as DNCE 5017. Approved for arts and sciences core curriculum: literature and the arts.
