Analyzes development, emphasizing cellular, molecular, and genetic mechanisms. Topics include descriptive embryology, developmental control of gene expression in eukaryotic cells, mechanisms of differentiation and morphogenesis, and developmental genetics. Prereq., MCDB 3120 and 3500, or instructor consent. The related lab course, MCDB 4660, can be taken concurrently. Credit not granted for this course and MCDB 4620, EPOB 3650, or EPOB 4600.
