An interdisciplinary course where analysis of real phenomena such as acid rain, population growth, and road-killed rabbits in Nevada leads to consideration of various fundamental concepts in mathematics. One-third of the course consists of individual projects chosen by students. Prereq., proficiency in high school mathematics. Credit not granted for this course and QRMS 2380.
