Description: Research/study on problems that require integrating engineering design ideas into areas where they are not generally considered. Typical outside disciplines are in fine arts, humanities, and social and behavioral science. The scope of work shall consist of independent or group research and study by course registrants. Course outputs include design prototypes, design reports, performances, productions, exhibits, and presentations. This course is tailored to current events and campus activities, as well as the interests of the students and faculty. Grading: Regular grades are awarded for this course: A B C D E. May be repeated: for a total of 20 units of credit. May be convened with: SIE 396A. Usually offered: Fall, Spring, Summer.
