Description: Course introduces students to the orders of meaning and power that influence human living and working conditions, as well as the capacity of human beings to alter those conditions. A combination of lectures, readings, films, class discussions and exercises will familiarize students with approaches to global problems in applied anthropology and the solutions that the discipline has proposed. Grading: Regular grades are awarded for this course: A B C D E. Prerequisite(s): two courses from Tier One, Individuals and Societies (INDV 101, 102, 103).
