Description: General principles of organic chemistry. Designed for students planning to take more advanced coursework in chemistry, especially chemistry, biochemistry and chemical engineering majors. Chemistry majors who take CHEM 241 instead of CHEM 246 are strongly encouraged to complete CHEM 402 prior to graduation. Grading: Regular grades are awarded for this course: A B C D E. Available to qualified students for Pass/Fail Option. Prerequisite(s): CHEM 246A or consent of instructor. Credit is allowed for only one course or sequence from: CHEM 101B or CHEM 241A-241B or CHEM 242A-242B; CHEM 243A-243B or CHEM 246A-246B. Usually offered: Spring.
