Description: Fundamental principles of the rheological behavior of materials. Non-Newtonian viscous behavior. Application of Non-Newtonian fluid mechanics. Viscoelasticity. The relation between microscope structure and behavior: polymer solutions, slurries, and colloidal systems. Graduate-level requirements includes use of increased experience in terms of knowledge of mathematical techniques applied to Transport and Phenomena problems. Grading: Regular grades are awarded for this course: A B C D E. May be convened with: CHEE 471. Usually offered: Spring.
