Description: Fundamental concepts of modern chemistry, with emphasis on theoretical and physical principles; atomic and molecular structure and quantum theory; chemical bonding properties go gases, liquids and solids; solutions; structure and bonding in organic molecules, organometallic complexes, and solids; thermochemistry. Grading: Regular grades are awarded for this course: A B C D E. Prerequisite(s): or Concurrent registration, MATH 124 or students who have had high school chemistry and physics and received acceptable scores on the ACT tests.
