Description: Pharmacogenomics is the study of the factors in a cell, tissue, organ or person, that determine variability in drug response. Among these factors are genetic differences between people, hence the term pharmacogenetics. This course will present the underlying biology behind pharmacogenomics, and include a significant component of instruction in genomic data analysis, taught in a computer laboratory, using actual real-world pharmacogenomic data sets. Grading: Regular grades are awarded for this course: A B C D E. Prerequisite(s): Consent of instructor. Identical to: PCOL 631; PCOL is home department. Usually offered: Fall.
