Exposure to common experimental organisms and the history of developmental biology, including recent developments that have revolutionized the field. Emphasis will be placed on the evolutionary mechanisms that govern the development of the body plan in all animals. Grading: Regular grades are awarded for this course: A B C D E. Prerequisite(s): BIOC 623A, BIOC 623C or Concurrent registration BIOC 623C and BIOC 650. Genetics course or consent of instructor. Usually offered: Summer.
