Description: This course will present classical experiments and discoveries that served as the foundation of modern microbiology and immunology. Significant milestones, major figures, and their original writings will be discussed, as well as the application of the scientific method and the role of accidental discoveries in the progress of science. This is a First-Year Colloquium Course. Grading: Regular or alternative grades can be awarded for this course: A B C D E or S P C D E. Identical to: MIC 195A; MIC is home department.
