Description: Greek vase painting from the Dipylon vases of the geometric period in Athens to the Orientalizing animal styles of Corinth and the black and red figured Attic style. Also, survey of ancient Roman painting and mosaics. Graduate-level requirements include extensive reading and an in-depth paper. Grading: Regular grades are awarded for this course: A B C D E.
