Description: Moroccan Arabic is a designation used for a continuum of dialects spoken in Morocco. An alternate designation for this dialect cluster is Maghribi Colloquial Arabic. There are 18,800,000 speakers throughout Morocco according to the Ethnologue, and 742,000 elsewhere. Graduate-level requirement includes weekly conversational hours outside of class. Grading: Regular grades are awarded for this course: A B C D E. Prerequisite(s): Native speakers of any Arabic dialect must have consent of instructor. May be convened with: ARB 427A.
