Description: The practical application of theoretical and student-centered learning within various classroom settings. The class involves an exchange of ideas about theory, goals, values, and ethical concerns for teaching courses concentrating on American Indians and provide training in practical methods, teaching strategies, and action-learning skills in a lecture and seminar format. The scope of work shall consist of research by course registrants, with the exchange of the results of such research through discussion, reports, and/or papers. Students will begin to accumulate materials for a teaching portfolio. Grading: Regular grades are awarded for this course: A B C D E. Usually offered: Fall, Spring.
