Description: This course examines the various theoretical and methodological challenges inherent to the study of indigenous art, including the issues of identity, sovereignty, cultural critique and the role of the artist. In addressing the interdisciplinary nature of the field, students will seek to find strategies in approaching their own research. Grading: Regular or alternative grades can be awarded for this course: A B C D E or S P C D E. May be repeated: for a total of 9 units of credit. Identical to: ARH 596V; ARH is home department.
