Description: To become acquainted with and learn basic nutrition concepts including: classification and function of Nutrients, deficiency and toxicity symptoms, digestive processes, feedstuff characterization, and diet formulation for domestic animals. This course will cover everything related to the nutrition and feeding of domestic animals and is intended for both majors needing a prerequisite Animal Nutrition class and non-majors desiring a stand alone course in Animal Nutrition. Grading: Regular grades are awarded for this course: A B C D E. Prerequisite(s): Two semesters of inorganic chemistry. Usually offered: Fall.
