Description: Students will learn principles, methods, and techniques related to the measurement and control of environmental factors affecting plant growth under controlled environment. Students will learn application of instrumentation and design a simple controlled environment/measurement system for plant production. Grading: Regular grades are awarded for this course: A B C D E. Course includes 1 or more field trips. Prerequisite(s): MATH 110, MATH 113, PHYS 102. Typical structure: 3 hours laboratory, 2 hours lecture. Identical to: PL S 579. Usually offered: Spring.
