Description: Basic principles of laboratory practice and instrumentation; statistical measurement theory including probability distributions, finite statistics, uncertainty analysis regression analysis dynamics of measurement systems; transducers and signal conditioning circuits. Experiments using basic laboratory instrumentation on the speed of sound, temperature measurements, and the dynamic response of first and second order systems. Grading: Regular grades are awarded for this course: A B C D E. Special course fee required: $50. Prerequisite(s): or Concurrent registration, A ME 331. A M E 230, ECE 207.
