6 hours. Prerequisite: RUS 111 or RUS 102. This accelerated course meets nine hours a week, five hours with the master teacher and four hours with the drill instructor. Classes are conducted largely in Russian, with an emphasis on lively, spontaneous oral activity and listening comprehension. Reading and translation are also introduced.
