Students learn the steps in thinking critically and analytically, how to evaluate the accuracy and value of information in everyday life, and how to apply these skills to specific topics. Topics discussed include advertising, persuasion, doubletalk, debunking pseudoscience, and more. A section of the course focuses on preparation for portions of standardized tests such as the GRE or LSAT.
