Special methods of teaching mathematics. Topics addressed will include trends in mathematics education, lesson construction, standards-based curriculum, assessment, pedagogical considerations in teaching mathematics, use of manipulatives and technology, laboratory activities appropriate for the secondary classroom, and develop an awareness of the various statewide and national assessments. Prerequisite: MTH 3383.
