In this course, students will not only continue to develop and refine the portfolios they started in Intro to Creative Writing, but will also delve more deeply into the intellectual life of the writer. To that end, contemporary fiction and poetry will be analyzed through a series of book reviews and formal explications of individual poems and stories. Furthermore, students will also gain valuable editing experience by developing an issue of Proscenium.
