The study of animal behavior from an evolutionary perspective. Lectures, laboratories, and discussions focus on general principles of behavior, as well as the design of experiments to test hypotheses about behavior. Topics include animal communication, mating and parental care, foraging, habitat selection, and sociality. Provides a broad basis for understanding the behavior of animals, including ourselves.
