Prerequisites: ENGL 102, BIOL 112, CHEM 105, CHEM 110, CPTR 105, INTD 105, HLSC 101, HLSC 175, MATH 120, with grades of "C" or higher . A study of the cardiopulmonary anatomy andphysiology, patient assessment, and commonly used respiratory care treatments. The goals, indications, contraindications, and hazards for each modality are covered. Included are oxygen therapy, humidity and aerosol therapies, bronchial hygiene, and volume expansion.
