Prerequisite: EDUC 242. A course designed to provide an overview of best instructional practices for making music an integral part of the learning experiences of the child ages birth to five. Two components of the course include: (a) lecture and discussion that focus on the history, theory, and research on the role of music in the developing child, and (b) observation and participation in the instruction of a class for children accompanied by their parents/caregivers.
