Prerequisite: BIOL 491-senior class standing and a minimum of 26 credits in biology. A discussion of the philosophy of science, scientific method, exchange and interpretation of data, reference resources, etc., as well as an introduction to the critical evaluation of periodical literature in the biological sciences and the writing of grant proposals. One class meeting per week. (Fall Semester; Spring Semester)
