Prerequisite: CPTR 150 with minimum of grade of "C" . The study of database design tools andtechniques. This course will explore the design and analysis of database systems, with particular emphasis on relational databases. Topics covered include: review of hierarchical and network model, data normalization, data description languages, query facilities, file organization, index organization, file security, data integrity and reliability, database administration, and DBMS evaluation.
