A survey of research and theories regarding basic cognitive processes related to the extraction and utilization of information within a cultural context. The course will also study the application of psychology related to the opportunities and problems of education in a variety of educational settings and with a variety of students needs. Topics may include memory storage and retrieval, attention, imagery, mnemonic devices, decision-making, and other cognitive processes. Prerequisite: SS-PY 110-G- General Psychology.
