three semester rotation A study of the history of Western music from Biblical roots through the Renaissance (1600AD). A study of the people and their music in the medieval & renaissance eras. Significant musical figures, social customs, musical issues, style traits, and the early Christian church will be studied for their impact on the development of music in the Western European tradition. Prerequisites: MUS 103-G and MUS 104- G or concurrent enrollment in MUS 103-G and MUS 104-G.
