Three hours This course describes the principles and concepts of operations management. Operations management embodies techniques and models used in manufacturing and service operations. Operations activities include core activities and strategic issues used in business organizations such as forecasting, supply chain management, system design, quality, and project management. Topics include inventory planning and control models, location planning and analyses, facility layout, scheduling and workforce planning models, quality control, aggregate planning, simple and multiple regression analysis, MRP and ERP, just-in-time systems, and decisionmaking. Spring semester.
