Three hours A survey of topics related to computer systems with emphasis on the relationships between hardware architecture and assembler instructions. The architecture of processors and storage systems are eplored and the implications for systems software design are covered along with the impact of hardware and system software design on the development of application programs. Assembly language is utilized. Prerequisite: Successful completion of a course in a programming language.
