Three hours This course is designed to provide an introduction to the economics of healthcare through an eploration of the supply and demand of services in a politically driven market. Economic theories related to production and consumption and distribution of healthcare services are eamined in detail. Supply-demand analyses will be applied to specific markets in the health care sector. The role of government in production and distribution of health care and market failure will be discussed. Prerequisites: ECO 221 and ECO 222
