Three hours This course is designed to provide an introduction to the economics of healthcare through an eploration of the supply and demand of services in a politically driven market. Economic theories related to production and consumption and distribution of healthcare services are eamined in detail. Supply-demand analyses will be applied to specific markets in the health care sector. The role of government in production and distribution of health care and market failure will be discussed.
