3 credit hours Formerly Th 344 Parish Program Planning. This course prepares ministers to design programs and activities to meet the varied needs of parishes. Topics include: analysis of parish as a context for ministry; an understanding of the elements of a successful parish and effective leadership; discernment of needs of the parish; vision for program possibilities; an experience of a step by step process for planning a program; and standards for ministry rooted in civil and canon law and professional ethics. Prerequisite: Th 450 or equivalent experience recommended. ( Alt FA, SP)
