It involves the protégé and mentor in reflection on the skills and competenciesneeded for effective and fulfilling ministry as identified in "Standard 3: Catholic Theology;" "Standard 4: Pastoral praxis;" and "Standard 5: Professional Practice" of National Certification Standards for Lay Ecclesial Ministry as approved by the National Conference of Catholic Bishops' Committee on Certification and Accreditation.
