3 credit hours In this course, a student 1) develops a fundamental competency in computations using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages, 2) is introduced to real numbers and algebraic expressions, 3) solves one variable linear equations and inequalities, 4) graphs linear equations in two variables including slope and intercept form, and 5) solves problems involving the graphing of inequalities in two variables. Does not apply toward degree requirements. A grade of "C" or better is required to enroll in Mth 006. Tutorial sessionsrequired. Prerequisite: Placement test or permission. ( FA)
