3 credit hours The course objectives of History of Math include the following four points: 1) developing a fundamental understanding of the evolution of mathematical thought during the last three thousand years; 2) learning the names, mathematical accomplishments, and thought processes of the great mathematicians of history; 3) developing proficiency in reading the works of the great mathematicians; 4) developing the ability to effectively present modules of information about mathematics to the class.
