3 credit hours A survey of the nature and needs of individuals with a variety of mild learning and behavior disorders, including Learning Disabilities, Behavior Disorders, Mild Mental Disabilities, and Orthopedic Handicaps. Considers characteristics, definitions, historical developments, legal requirements, family concerns, and programming and intervention issues. Field experience is required.
