An introduction to the formal analysis of arguments. The student will translate English sentences into symbolic language and learn "truth table" and "proof " methods for testing the validity of argumentThis course covers sentential through relational predicate logic. The aim of the course is to sharpen reasoning skills and develop the ability for rigorous philosophical analysis. (Prerequisite: Phil. 160.) As required.
