Study and practice of skills, knowledge, strategies and materials appropriate for designing, teaching and administering both general music classes and performing groups at the middle, junior and senior high school levels. Philosophical, historical and theoretical principles of music education studied in MUS 411 provide a bases for study and dialogue as do the National Standards for Arts Education. Includes 40 hours of prepracticum (classroom observation) in an elementary music classroom. Prerequisite: MUS 411.
