Parish nursing is considered to be a ministry as well as a nursing specialty. It provides an opportunity for the nursing professional to demonstrate caring for mind, body, and spirit. Steps needed to establish a Parish Nursing Program and the roles of the Parish Nurse will be explored. The International Parish Nursing Resource Center's basic Parish Nursing Preparation Program serves as the core curriculum of this course. Prerequisites: NUS 301, NUS 302, NUS 304 and permission of the Program Director.
