This course focuses on the physiological factors and pathogenesis of cardiovascular disease, comprehensive assessment of the adult cardiac patient, contemporary diagnostic procedures and primary and secondary interventions. It prepares the student to take the American Nurses' Association Credentialing Center Certification Examination in Cardiac/Vascular Nursing. Prerequisites: NUS 301, NUS 302, NUS 304.
