Examines the broad spectrum of change confronting the fire service. Emphasis will be placed upon the identification of critical issues that will affect the future of fire service over the next decade. Areas include regionalization, privatization, alternative forms of service delivery, paradigm shifts, environmental scanning, and the need to be a proactive agent of change. Three lecture hours per week.
