As part of its focus on education for public service, Anna Maria College offers a program to prepare students for certification as an Emergency Medical Technician at the Basic level. The College is accredited by the Massachusetts Office of Emergency Medical Services. Classes are held in the College's new Health Care Laboratory that includes a 7-bed unit arranged to model a hospital setting, a home health area, classrooms and teaching technologies. Students in Fire Science, Criminal Justice, and Nursing frequently choose this course as an elective appropriate to their career plans, but the course is open to all students.
