Provides a current perspective on personnel issues prevalent within the fire service and society. The course will reflect upon the histor- ical development of the American labor movement. Special attention will be given to management- labor problems arising in the areas of wages, hours, benefits, harassment, cultural diversity, reverse discrimination, technology, production efficiency, and use of temporary and on-call staff. Three lecture hours per week.
