This course aims to integrate organismal, cellular, genetic and molecular approaches to the study of animal development. Evolution of developmental mechanisms will also be discussed. The lab component will incorporate both descriptive and experimental embryological techniques. Prerequisite: Biology 255 (Cell Biology & Genetics Lab), Biology 260 (Genetics) and Biology 265 (Cell Biology). Three lectures and one three-hour laboratory period per week. Fall semester.
