SPRING First year Spanish courses introduce the student to the sounds and structures of the Spanish language through listening, speaking, reading, and writing; this will provide the ability to communicate and understand Spanish in an elementary manner. The courses also establish a language basis for the study of Spanish and Latin American literature. Class size limited. Preference given to students taking both semesters. Others enroll with consent of the instructor. Prerequisite: LAN 245 or consent of the instructor
