This course includes an introduction to the theories, origin, and function of religion. In addition to a survey of primitive and basic religions, it includes a study of the major religions of the world, classified by their geographical area of origin-namely, those tracing their beginnings to India, to China and Japan, and to the Middle East. The course concludes with a study of the response of Christianity to these world religions. Crossroads accepts this on-line course in place of BTH 4600 Christian Theology & World Religions.
