Employing the seminar approach, theoretical study is combined with first-hand observations of the inner city school. Emphasis is on probing the uniqueness of the urban school subculture and its problems, the nature of the social forces that directly impinge on its functioning and discernment of the basic similarities which characterize schools servicing socio-geographical populations.
